JD VANCE
JD Vance has described Tim Walz as an “empty suit” lacking substance. He has stated publicly that he doesn’t need to “prepare that much” for the debate. Vance will most likely be on the attack, challenging, mocking, and undermining Walz’s military history, personality, and track record on issues surrounding immigration and the economy. Despite some remarks being ridiculed by the media, Vance remains extremely popular with the Trump base and is an articulate speaker with demonstrated debate skills.
TIM WALZ
Tim Walz will likely reinforce his “regular guy” image and focus on the issues, where he believes the Democrats are strongest. He is also expected to try to repeat Kamala’s successfully deployed tactic to “bait” Vance into going off track and potentially embarrassing himself. Tim Walz remains fairly untested on the national stage but has polled highly and is generally well-liked by the public.
